About the role
Kingaroy Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its Maternity ward on a four-week contract from 23 November to 20 December 2026. The role suits an experienced midwife looking to contribute to a rural healthcare setting, working up to 80 hours per fortnight in a supportive team environment with exposure to diverse clinical scenarios.
Required profile
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in rural and remote healthcare settings
- Ability to work flexibly within a rotating roster and contribute to a small maternity team
- Preferred: Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA, and prior experience in rural or remote maternity services
Required skills
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certification
- Cannulation competence
- Foetal surveillance education and team leadership
