Allied Health Assistance Traineeship

About the role

Golden West Apprenticeships is offering a part-time, 12-month Allied Health Assistance Traineeship in Kingaroy. It gives the successful applicant the chance to build skills and knowledge through on-the-job work with an employer while completing a nationally recognised course of training through a registered training organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support allied health professionals in delivering client programs and services
• Help prepare treatment areas, equipment and resources
• Support clients during therapy and rehabilitation activities
• Maintain client records and documentation in line with workplace procedures
• Communicate with clients, families and healthcare professionals
• Promote client independence, wellbeing and participation in therapy programs
• Follow infection control, workplace health and safety and confidentiality requirements
• Assist with administrative tasks and scheduling
• Monitor client progress and report observations to supervising allied health professionals
• Contribute to positive client outcomes as part of a healthcare team

Required profile

• A willingness to develop skills and knowledge
• The ability to listen, follow instructions and ask for help when needed
• Desire to contribute positively to the workplace by being punctual, interested and adhering to policies and procedures
• Ability to act responsibly and safely at work
• Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and the Golden West Apprenticeships team
• Ability to complete timesheets correctly and on time
• Desirable: work experience in the chosen industry

To complete the traineeship, candidates must abide by the Training Contract terms, complete inductions, perform work satisfactorily, commit to the Training Plan and complete theory-based assessments and demonstrate skills through competency-based assessments. They must also comply with registration requirements for their field, including the Further Education and Training Act and the Work Health and Safety Act. The closing date is 27 November 2026.
