Regional Vice President of Sales – ANZ

About the role

We are looking for a Regional Vice President of Sales to launch and scale Cognition’s operations across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to global leadership, you will be the first senior hire in the region, responsible for building the go‑to‑market engine, establishing enterprise and government partnerships, and delivering revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the ANZ country‑level P&L, hiring, sales execution and operational performance.
• Build and lead a cross‑functional team covering sales, customer success, engineering, support and operations.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with large enterprises and government agencies.
• Drive end‑to‑end sales cycles, close complex deals directly and through partners.
• Align product‑market fit for ANZ with global leadership and provide localisation feedback to product and engineering.
• Design scalable processes for customer onboarding, implementation and success.

Required profile

• 10+ years of leadership experience in ANZ, preferably in fast‑growing software or AI companies.
• Proven track record of launching and scaling operations in new markets and selling disruptive software.
• Deep network and understanding of ANZ enterprise and government sectors.
• Strong enterprise sales, partnership and go‑to‑market expertise with a history of closing complex deals.
• Hands‑on execution mindset combined with strategic thinking.
• Experience building high‑performing, cross‑functional teams from the ground up.
