Regional Sales Manager, System Scaffold

About the role

An established overseas manufacturer of system scaffold and steel planks, which has previously sold in Australia through distributors, is hiring its first Australian sales hire in Brisbane. The role sells direct to scaffold contractors, hire companies, industrial maintenance contractors, builders and resellers across Queensland, starting with system scaffold and steel planks and more ranges to follow. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Sell directly to scaffold contractors, hire companies, industrial maintenance contractors, builders and resellers across Queensland.
• Work directly with the owner to set pricing and the commission framework.
• Put forward your own year-one sales target.
• Mentor two sales engineers who will follow on, on a dotted line.

Required profile

• Ten years in scaffold sales on the supply side, as a manufacturer, importer or distributor.
• Comfortable building something from scratch with an owner who wants your input on price and structure.
• Strong knowledge of how scaffold is bought, by whom and on what terms.
• Hire desk and labour hire backgrounds are not a fit.

What we offer

• $160,000 base salary plus superannuation.
• Car allowance.
• Share of a team profit pool.
