About the role

Join PEER, a leading South Australian employer of apprentices, and start a four‑year Refrigeration & Air‑Conditioning apprenticeship. You will earn a wage while gaining hands‑on experience and working alongside qualified tradespeople.

Key responsibilities

• Install refrigeration and air‑conditioning systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings.
• Commission and de‑commission equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work with electrical controls and associated systems.
• Diagnose faults and develop practical problem‑solving skills.
• Deliver work that keeps homes, businesses and industries running efficiently.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, White Card and a driver’s licence.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

Required skills

• Installation of refrigeration and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Commissioning and de‑commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Working with electrical controls.
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
