About the role

The Autism Association of WA is looking for a permanent full-time Coordinator to join its Community Living Team, working alongside other Coordinators to create a good life for the people it supports. The Shared Living Service Coordinator ensures the highest standard of care for people with Autism, leads a team of Support Workers, engages with families and community stakeholders, and advocates for the rights of people with disability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Support Workers and guide them to deliver high-quality care and enjoyable life experiences.
• Engage with families and community stakeholders and keep them actively involved.
• Oversee staff to ensure they uphold the highest standards of care and consideration.
• Advocate for the rights of people with disability and help overcome barriers to a good life.

Required profile

• Extensive practical experience in Human Services, with a deep understanding of client needs and a proven track record of effective service delivery.
• Experience leading teams, managing people and overseeing day-to-day operations and client care standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and to build collaborative partnerships with clients, families and stakeholders.
• Prior hands-on experience implementing personalised support plans for people with disabilities, with a person-centred approach.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's licence (no P plates).
• Completion of medical clearance, National Police Clearance and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
