About the role

Jackson Motor Company, Tasmania's leading automotive business, is seeking a motivated Recruitment Consultant to join its Launceston team. Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive effective recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support for a growing workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process for Northern Tasmania.
• Provide support to managers on company recruitment policies and procedures.
• Oversee day‑to‑day payroll processing and related administrative tasks.
• Handle transactional people and HR administration duties.
• Ensure compliance with current regulations governing operational processes.

Required profile

• People‑oriented with a positive, enthusiastic outlook.
• Strong networking ability and capacity to build trust.
• Solid background in administration and a passion for a career in HR.
• Forward‑thinking, well‑presented, with strong business acumen.
• Current valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of generalist HR and recruitment functions.
• High attention to detail for accurate HR processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Professional phone manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
