Railway Electrician – ETCS L2 Project

About the role

HITACHI RAIL STS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Railway Electrician for its ETCS L2 project, based in Brisbane, Queensland. The position is full-time and hybrid, and the successful candidate will work closely with the Signalling Electrical Supervisor to make sure all electrical work meets a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake the physical construction activities for the project.
• Execute construction work by interpreting signalling documentation, drawings and functional construction documentation.
• Support the Electrical team and subcontractors in delivering the ETCS L2 project plan.
• Carry out all electrical works in line with the project delivery plan.
• Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.
• At least 2 years in railway signalling.
• Demonstrated experience in a brownfield railway signalling environment.
• Demonstrated competency in implementing health and safety initiatives.
• Outstanding planning and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
• Ability to interpret signalling documentation and drawings.
