About the role
Join Sydney Trains' Engineering and Maintenance team as a Quarry Operator, responsible for safely managing quarry plant and equipment to meet production targets. This on‑site position offers the chance to work on projects that directly support the people of NSW.
Key responsibilities
- Operate fixed and mobile processing plant, front‑end loaders, excavators and haul trucks in a quarry environment.
- Maintain production output while adhering to safety, quality and cost constraints.
- Collaborate with team members and work independently when required.
- Undertake competency‑based training and development in extractive and engineering processes.
- Execute safety responsibilities in line with Sydney Trains policies.
Required profile
- Experience in a quarry or heavy‑construction setting.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of operating heavy equipment.
- Reliable, team‑oriented and safety‑focused attitude.
Required skills
- Class C Driver’s licence.
- Operation of front‑end loaders.
- Operation of excavators.
- Operation of haul trucks.
- Knowledge of quarry plant and mobile processing equipment.
