Quality Specialist

About the role

Bega Group is looking for a Quality Specialist for its Tatura site, a leading Australian dairy manufacturer producing cream cheese, infant formula, lactoferrin, milk powders and single-serve butter. The role develops, implements and maintains systems and processes that ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, driving continuous improvement, risk management and a strong quality culture. It is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (QMS), audit programs and compliance processes.
• Manage quality incidents, non-conformances and customer complaints through investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Manage internal and external audits, certification activities and compliance monitoring, covering standards such as BRC, HACCP, Halal, Kosher and Export Milk Products.
• Maintain quality assurance frameworks, HACCP programs, risk assessments, hazard management systems and compliance documentation.
• Provide training, coaching and guidance to leaders and team members on quality compliance practices.

Required profile

• Previous experience in dairy manufacturing is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of BRC or relevant customer and regulatory standards.
• Internal and external audit experience and HACCP certifications.
• Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
• Time management and problem-solving capabilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
