Production Supervisor – Dairy Manufacturing

About the role

Bega Group is hiring a full-time, permanent Production Supervisor for its Tatura site, a leading Australian dairy manufacturer known for cream cheese, infant formula, lactoferrin, milk powders and single-serve butter. The supervisor provides day-to-day leadership to the production team, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations, champions a Safety Always culture, drives team performance, maintains product quality standards and supports continuous improvement. The roster is 4 on 4 off rotating day and night shifts of 12 hours each.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the team to ensure safe, efficient and compliant production operations.
• Promote a Safety Always culture and ensure GMP, food safety, quality and environmental standards are met.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet manufacturing targets, product specifications and customer requirements.
• Coach, develop and support team members through training, performance management and multi-skilling.
• Champion continuous improvement to improve safety, quality, productivity and plant performance.

Required profile

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in dairy, food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, quality systems and manufacturing best practices.
• Proven ability to lead teams, build capability and foster a high-performance culture.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to manage operational priorities.
• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and a manufacturing system.
• Must hold a current Australian driver's licence and complete a pre-employment medical.
