Quality Assurance Manager – South Australia

About the role

Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Project Quality Management Plan for the Nuclear‑Powered Submarine Construction Yard project in South Australia. You will ensure quality requirements are integrated across all phases of delivery and drive a culture of right‑first‑time outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the Project Quality Management Plan and associated quality objectives.
• Establish and maintain quality management systems, processes and controls to meet contractual, regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Review client specifications and standards to define assurance obligations, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
• Provide quality leadership to project teams, fostering compliance and continuous improvement.
• Lead internal audits, surveillance activities and external assessments, managing findings to closure.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement and commissioning teams to embed quality requirements throughout delivery.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related discipline.
• 7‑10 years’ experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing or major project delivery environments.
• Relevant quality management qualification such as a Certificate of Attainment in Quality Management or Lead Auditor qualification.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent.
• Certificate of Attainment in Quality Management.
• Eligibility for Defence Security Clearance (NV1).
