Quality Assurance Manager – Marine & Defence

About the role

Based in Henderson, WA, Babcock is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to support its Marine operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance & Governance, you will influence quality strategy, drive continuous improvement and partner with operational leaders in a complex, highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, governance and continual improvement of quality management systems across Marine operations.
• Embed a strong quality culture and deliver audit and assurance programmes.
• Manage quality investigations and provide expert guidance on regulatory and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and industry stakeholders to shape quality strategy, policies and objectives.
• Act as a change agent to promote best practice and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship with a Defence security clearance (or ability to obtain).
• AQF Level 8 qualification or equivalent in Quality Risk Management or a related engineering field.
• Chartered Member (or working towards) of a recognised professional quality body.
• Proven experience in a similar role within a complex, highly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and influence quality strategy.
