Quality Assurance Engineer – IoT Connectivity

About the role

Morse Micro is seeking a skilled QA/QC Engineer to own validation and quality assurance across its IoT ecosystem, including Android and iOS mobile apps, cloud services, and embedded firmware.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and validation scripts for mobile, cloud, and firmware layers.
• Validate Android and iOS applications for UI/UX, functionality, performance, and device compatibility.
• Verify backend APIs (REST, WebSocket, TCP/UDP) for correctness, performance, and security.
• Perform end‑to‑end system validation, ensuring seamless communication between firmware, cloud, and mobile clients.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile apps, APIs, and device‑level interactions.
• Establish quality gates within CI/CD pipelines and maintain regression suites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related field.
• 3+ years of QA/QC experience with mobile, backend or embedded systems.
• Hands‑on experience testing Android and iOS apps (manual and automation).
• Strong analytical and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Automation tools: Appium, PyTest, Playwright, Robot Framework.
• API testing tools: Postman, Swagger, Insomnia.
• Network testing: TCP/UDP sockets, MQTT, WebSockets.
• Firmware validation: UART/serial logs, BLE/Wi‑Fi device testing.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Test management: Jira, TestRail.
