Quality and Performance Lead

About the role

Suncare, a community-focused not-for-profit supporting older Australians to stay independent and safe in their own homes, is seeking an experienced Quality and Performance Lead for its Clinical Services team. The role champions quality, safety and continuous improvement, influences clinical practice and strengthens governance. It has no direct reports but offers significant leadership through influence, collaboration, coaching and expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical quality, risk and governance activities to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery.
• Analyse incidents, complaints, customer outcomes and performance data to identify trends, mitigate risks and drive improvement.
• Partner with operational leaders and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical practice and customer outcomes.
• Provide expert clinical advice on complex customer needs, care planning, case reviews and service escalations.
• Build organisational capability through education, coaching, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Allied Health, Health Sciences or a related discipline.
• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration in an Allied Health profession.
• Minimum five years' experience in senior clinical, clinical leadership, clinical governance, quality management or risk management roles.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical auditing, quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading investigations, incident management and root cause analysis.
• Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and contemporary aged care regulatory requirements.
• Advanced analytical, reporting and data interpretation skills.
• Communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities; ability to work autonomously.
