Casual Dental Assistant / Receptionist

About the role

Maven Dental Maroochydore is looking for a casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist who can cover both chairside assisting and reception. You will help clinicians with general, restorative and cosmetic appointments and spend time at the front desk welcoming patients, managing the diary and handling enquiries. Shifts vary from week to week, so flexible availability is required.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients and handle general enquiries in person and by phone
• Manage appointments, bookings and patient recalls
• Process payments and maintain accurate patient records
• Provide chairside assistance for general, restorative and cosmetic procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist clinicians during appointments
• Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Follow infection control procedures and keep the clinical area clean
• Support stock control and other day-to-day practice tasks

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, with a working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Confidence on reception, including bookings, enquiries and payment processing
• Warm interpersonal skills and clear, calm communication
• Strong attention to detail and solid organisational habits
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (advantageous)

Required skills

• Experience using EXACT dental software
