Purchasing Professional – Brisbane

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Purchasing Professional to support the Eva Copper Mine EPC project in Brisbane. You will be responsible for creating and managing project‑specific purchasing documentation, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and coordinating with suppliers to meet project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project master purchasing pro‑forma forms, including legal and commercial terms.
• Prepare, update, and monitor bidder lists across all procurement functions.
• Issue and administer purchase orders in line with project specifications.
• Participate in negotiations and secure purchase commitments after appropriate review and approval.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs and plan procurement activities.
• Ensure supplier compliance with purchase order requirements and project standards.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or purchasing within large, multi‑disciplinary EPC projects.
• Familiarity with contract review and preparation of commercial documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
