Project Procurement Buyer

About the role

Shape project‑specific procurement strategies and drive end‑to‑end sourcing to deliver impact on operating profit for projects across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with global commodity experts and project needs.
• Lead the full procurement cycle from tendering, vendor selection, negotiation, contract award to supplier performance management.
• Partner early with project managers and commercial teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor budgets, market trends and supplier evaluations to uncover savings and process improvements.
• Manage procurement‑related risks, uphold policies and ethical standards, and champion digital tools such as e‑bid and supplier evaluation platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (electrical engineering background preferred) with 5‑7 years of procurement, contract management or project procurement experience.
• Proven experience in contract negotiations, claim management and supplier qualification.
• Ability to develop and adapt commodity strategies to project‑specific requirements.
• Confidence representing procurement in an international, cross‑functional environment.
