About the role
AECOM’s Sydney Highways team is seeking an experienced Project Manager at Technical Director level to lead major highway and transport infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex road, motorway and civil infrastructure projects across all phases.
- Drive design management, ensure technical excellence and deliver strong outcomes.
- Act as trusted advisor to clients and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee programme, commercial, risk, safety and quality performance.
- Support business development and mentor emerging leaders.
Required profile
- Proven experience at Project Manager, Design Manager or Technical Director level on highways or major transport projects.
- Strong understanding of highways design, D&C delivery models and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience delivering projects for major transport authorities in Australia, preferably NSW.
- Commercial acumen with responsibility for programme and financial performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and senior‑level influencing skills.
