Project Manager - Integration and Data Migration

About the role

A Queensland State Government department is looking for a Technical Project Manager to oversee its Integration and Data Migration streams on a large, complex ERP implementation. The role is about 75% technical leadership and 25% project management, working through established Technical Leads rather than acting as a solution architect. It covers a portfolio of around 14 integrations, including several MuleSoft integrations.

The contract runs until 30 June 2027, paid from $1,100 per day (Australian-based contract and temporary roles only; the rate includes the mandatory 25% casual loading). The position is based in Brisbane CBD with flexibility to work from home two days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery leadership across Integration and Data Migration streams while keeping clear accountability boundaries with Technical Leads.
• Manage integrated delivery plans, resource forecasts, risks, issues, dependencies, vendor performance and recovery actions.
• Coordinate design reviews, testing, defect resolution, cutover planning and operational readiness.
• Drive cross-stream alignment and resolve delivery constraints across internal teams, vendors and stakeholders.
• Own cross-stream planning, dependencies, risks, vendor commitments, forecasting, delivery assurance, testing readiness and cutover preparation.

Required profile

• Strong enterprise integration leadership experience, ideally with Salesforce and MuleSoft-based delivery.
• Sufficient technical depth to challenge designs, estimates, plans and technical evidence without becoming the solution architect.
• Proven experience leading complex technical delivery through specialist leads in multi-vendor environments.
• Proven track record delivering large, complex data migration projects within a Queensland Government department.

Required skills

• Project management: planning, forecasting, risk management, dependency management and recovery planning.
• MuleSoft integrations and interfaces with key enterprise systems.
