Project Manager - HVAC

About the role

A leading Australian-owned HVAC engineering and contracting firm, which covers residential, commercial and industrial projects from design to construction, is looking for a Project Manager. The role reports directly to the Construction Manager and coordinates the estimating, design and project management teams on large and complex projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tender documents, plan the workforce, allocate resources, schedule work and monitor cash flow
• Oversee operational activities for multiple or large-scale projects and minimise risk exposure while adhering to health and safety protocols
• Manage commercial construction tenders, negotiations and operations to project completion
• Review and maintain project budgets and costs, and ensure accurate invoicing and claims requests
• Analyse profitability, revenue margins and rates, and forecast and report project financial performance against approved budgets
• Generate progress reports on time, cost and quality, and ensure projects finish on time, within budget and to the required quality standard

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial design and construction projects
• Demonstrated project management capability on projects exceeding $10 million
• Ability to read complex engineering and construction drawings
• Physical capability to assist and direct on-site works
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
