Project Manager - Electronic Security

About the role

An established electronic security integrator is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial security projects in Melbourne, overseeing all phases from planning to handover while managing client relationships and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage electronic security projects from initiation through installation, commissioning and final handover.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules and resource allocation.
• Lead and support technicians and contractors, providing direction and mentoring.
• Coordinate resources with the State Manager and conduct pre‑start meetings, progress updates and completion reviews.
• Maintain accurate records, schedules, work orders and invoicing using SimPRO.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance, including SWMS, site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Contribute to tenders, quotations and sales activities to support business growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering electronic security projects.
• Background in coordinating technicians, subcontractors and commercial project requirements.
• Proficiency with project management software, preferably SimPRO.
• Strong understanding of budgets, scheduling, procurement, invoicing and resource management.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, including SWMS and site inductions.
• A degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering or related field is advantageous, though equivalent experience is acceptable.
