Project Manager (Electrical)

About the role

Ertech, an employee-owned Australian civil and electrical construction company, is recruiting an experienced Project Manager (Electrical) for its Resources team. You will identify new business opportunities, build client relationships and support tendering and precontracts, then lead projects from tender award through to completion, overseeing safety, quality, programme and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities in the resource sector, mainly in North West WA, and bid manage them with ownership of the tendering process
• Turn opportunities into contracts and lead them from award through to completion, with full ownership from opportunity to completion
• Support existing projects on Barrow Island and Wheatstone
• Manage project planning, scheduling and financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, variations and reporting, and proactively mitigate project risks
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
• Oversee subcontractor engagement and procurement so works meet contractual, quality and timeline requirements
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, legislative requirements and HSE procedures
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager delivering major construction projects
• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and a strong technical background as an Electrical Engineer
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing self-performing teams
• Valid Australian working rights
