Project Manager - Civil Construction

About the role

Civcon Civil & Project Management is looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage the technical aspects of project delivery, as delegated by the Construction Manager. The company delivers complex civil construction and utilities projects to Government and private sector clients in the Perth CBD and metropolitan region, with a focus on safety, quality and cost-effectiveness. The role demands strong leadership, a commitment to health, safety and the environment, and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project management functions with the Construction Manager and stakeholders to set achievable project objectives.
• Develop a project plan covering time, cost, quality and risk, and obtain its endorsement from the Construction Manager.
• Monitor compliance with deadlines, approvals and reviews, and report progress against project baselines.
• Estimate project costs, develop budgets and implement agreed cost management processes.
• Select and use quality management methods and tools, and maintain a quality management system for recording and communicating quality issues.
• Develop and maintain a communications plan and communication networks with project staff, the client and other stakeholders.
• Develop site-specific work methodologies and programs to meet client requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Project Manager role.
• Relevant tertiary qualification such as an Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Management, a Diploma of Engineering or a Bachelor of Engineering.
• Full Western Australian driving licence and own transportation.
• Pipeline and utilities experience is desirable.
