Project Manager – Commercial Fit-Out/Refurb

About the role

Join a leading national construction firm delivering high‑specification commercial office fit‑outs and refurbishments. As Project Manager you will oversee projects ranging from $10m to $30m+, ensuring safety, quality and profitability from conversion through hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, budget, schedule and resource allocation.
• Track progress, manage milestones and enforce quality standards.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• 5‑15+ years delivering fit‑out and refurbishment projects for 2nd/3rd‑tier contractors.
• Strong knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership, financial reporting and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• Construction software such as Jobpac, Procore and Asta Powerproject (or similar).
