Project Manager – Capital Projects

About the role
The South Australia Police are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a variety of capital projects across the state. You will work in a collaborative environment, overseeing both minor and major building and accommodation initiatives that support the police’s operational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility and concept design through to delivery and handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, risk registers and cost estimates.
- Engage and coordinate professional services such as designers, engineers and cost consultants.
- Conduct site reviews, stakeholder consultations and ensure compliance with safety and sustainability standards.
- Monitor schedule, scope and budget, providing regular progress reports to senior leadership.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing construction or capital infrastructure projects.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions that balance value for money with operational needs.
