Project Lead – Construction & Facilities (Balcatta)

About the role

Sodexo is looking for an experienced Project Lead to manage a portfolio of construction and facilities projects for a major mining client in the Pilbara region. The role is based in our Balcatta Support Centre and involves regular site travel across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, scope, estimate and control costs and schedules for housing, village accommodation, critical infrastructure, civil works, airport upgrades and central facilities projects.
• Ensure safe, compliant delivery of projects in line with client expectations, contractual obligations and Sodexo standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and procure necessary resources.
• Establish and lead effective project teams, authorise construction planning, programming and subcontractor engagements.
• Provide standardized project‑management support to clients and assist contract management.
• Promote safety initiatives to achieve a zero‑incident culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Construction/Project Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent extensive project‑management experience.
• Proven experience delivering project‑management outcomes across multiple sites, preferably in the mining sector.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L performance.
• Experience in tender, quote and bid preparation and evaluation.
• High work ethic and understanding of corporate governance.
