Project Lead – Mining Projects (Balcatta)

About the role

Sodexo is looking for an experienced Project Lead to manage a portfolio of construction and refurbishment projects for a major mining client in the Pilbara region. Based in the Balcatta Support Centre, you will oversee project delivery across multiple sites, ensuring safety, quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, scope, estimate and control costs and schedules for housing, village, infrastructure and civil works projects.
• Maintain compliance with client expectations, contractual obligations and company standards.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Procure resources, authorise construction plans and manage variations.
• Provide standardized project‑management support to improve predictability of quality and cost.
• Contribute to safety initiatives and aim for a zero‑incident culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Construction/Project Management or Quantity Surveying, or equivalent extensive project‑management experience.
• Proven experience delivering projects across multiple sites, preferably in the mining sector.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L responsibility.
• Experience preparing tenders, quotes and bids.
