Project Engineer II – Subsea Engineering

About the role

Oceaneering is seeking a Project Engineer II to join its dynamic engineering team at the Jandakot facility in Western Australia. The role focuses on designing, building, testing, and installing subsea prototypes and equipment to meet operational and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Engineering Design Team and stakeholders to rapidly design and build needs‑driven prototypes.
• Construct unique prototypes and testing setups, source and evaluate components.
• Coordinate and supervise equipment assembly, testing, mobilisation, and installation.
• Develop and execute solutions to subsea challenges while considering safety, environment, customer, and cost.
• Create and review technical proposals, specifications, and reports.
• Promote and uphold Oceaneering’s strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2‑5 years of experience in a project environment.
• Hands‑on mechanical experience and ability to solve practical problems independently.
• Strong teamwork skills and high‑level written and verbal English.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and mechanical systems, QA/QC procedures, and the oil & gas industry.
• Knowledge of API, ISO, and DNV standards is advantageous.
