Project Controls Analyst

About the role
The Project Controls Analyst will drive cost control, performance reporting and baseline governance across complex transportation projects, ensuring accurate budgets, forecasts and earned‑value insights to support informed decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Capture, structure and report cost data using company financial and project controls systems.
- Build and maintain project baselines from drawings and specifications, supporting baseline budget creation.
- Track actuals versus budgets, monitor purchase orders, sub‑contracts and commitments, and apply earned‑value methods.
- Develop trending, forecasting and cost‑schedule integration analyses, preparing reports for project reviews.
- Support invoice review and approval processes, contribute to scope control and change‑management cost assessments, and participate in cost review meetings.
Required profile
- Proficiency with enterprise financial/project systems and standard project controls processes.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles as applied to project cost management.
- Experience with earned‑value, cost‑schedule integration and performance measurement.
- Ability to interpret drawings/specifications to establish and maintain cost baselines.
- Familiarity with Australian standards, governance expectations and reporting in major projects.
