Project Control Officer

About the role

A global client is hiring a highly organised Project Control Officer in Perth on a permanent basis. The role keeps projects on track behind the scenes, working across teams on major resource projects and supporting them with consistent methodology, tools and templates. It covers the full project lifecycle, from proposal through to completion, managing timelines, deliverables and forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Support project delivery through methodology, tools, templates and quality assurance of deliverables
• Develop and maintain project schedules with dependencies, critical path and resource planning
• Track milestones, risks and issues, and escalate delays in a timely way
• Manage project financials, including forecasting, budgeting and variance tracking
• Provide reporting and status updates and work closely with stakeholders

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Project Coordinator or similar delivery support role
• Experience supporting large-scale projects, ideally within mining or resources
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Confident communication skills and the ability to engage across multiple teams

Required skills

• Scheduling skills with project planning tools such as MS Project
• Desirable: experience in delivery operations or project controls environments
• Desirable: understanding of risk management frameworks, stakeholder engagement, change management and working in fast-paced, complex environments
