Lead (Subsea) Project Engineer

About the role

Fugro is seeking a Lead (Subsea) Project Engineer to join its established engineering team for upcoming subsea and ROV projects. The role is based in West Perth and involves occasional project site visits and offshore work.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Project Manager, Project Engineers and Operational Team to deliver project work scopes.
• Interface and communicate with clients.
• Take responsibility for large and/or multiple work packages, ensuring HSE, quality and commercial delivery.
• Evaluate and enhance emerging and existing engineering technologies and integrate them with the Engineering team.
• Supervise and guide senior and project engineers through technical development, design review, constructability, HAZID workshops and offshore execution.
• Review all engineering documentation before Project Manager / Client approval.
• Collaborate with the project manager to improve commercial oversight and outcomes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in subsea/offshore engineering and project delivery.
• Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical, mechatronic, structural or ocean engineering, or naval architecture.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a full, valid work visa; visa sponsorship is not offered.
• Ability to obtain an offshore survival course and pass the associated medical exam.
• Full driver's licence.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project.
• Experience with specialist software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is desirable.
