Project Accountant

About the role

Quanta Services Australia's CPP group, a high-voltage infrastructure provider connecting renewable energy projects to Australia's electricity grid, is looking for a Project Accountant to join its Finance team. You will work closely with Project Managers on projects of varying sizes, overseeing all financial matters and reporting to the Project Accounting Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Report and maintain finance and accounting functions for a portfolio of projects of various sizes
• Partner with Project Managers to help them meet their financial reporting obligations
• Provide analysis and direction to achieve financial goals and report results to Senior Management
• Work with accountants and key project personnel so that projects are costed and reported effectively

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce (or similar) or equivalent experience in a similar role
• Previous experience analysing financial data to support project cost forecasting and risk assessment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with key stakeholders
• Ability to work well in a team and prepare reports to tight monthly deadlines
• Attention to detail

Required skills

• Familiarity with accounting and project costing software
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
