Professor of Speech Pathology – Leadership Role

About the role

The Professor of Speech Pathology will provide strategic academic and research leadership within ACU’s School of Allied Health. This senior position influences curriculum development, accreditation and enhances the student experience across multiple campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Speech Pathology discipline, driving research, scholarship and teaching excellence.
• Develop, implement and accredit national Speech Pathology curricula.
• Enhance student experience and contribute to governance within and beyond the university.
• Build and maintain relationships with external organisations and professional communities.
• Lead growth of the team, programs and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant experience in strategic, academic and research leadership in higher education.
• High‑level communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong negotiation skills and business acumen for innovative initiatives.
• Proven capability to mentor, empower and lead staff in a changing environment.

Required skills

What we offer

• Total remuneration of $260,037 per annum (pro rata), including a salary component of $220,723.
• 17% employer superannuation contributions.
• Annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary (pro rata).
