Professor of Law – Senior Academic Leader

About the role

We are seeking a senior academic leader to join the School of Law at the Parramatta South campus. The Professor will drive the integration of experiential learning and practical legal skills across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, ensuring graduates meet the evolving expectations of the legal profession.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior academic leadership to embed experiential and practice‑based learning throughout the law curriculum.
• Design, develop and deliver contemporary units using blended and technology‑enabled teaching approaches.
• Lead peer review, quality assurance and curriculum development at unit, course and program levels.
• Build and sustain relationships with legal practitioners, professional bodies and industry partners locally, nationally and internationally.
• Mentor early‑ and mid‑career academics, supporting their teaching and leadership development.
• Contribute to governance, professional activities and the overall standing of the law programme.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in legal practice or a PhD in law or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum design at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Proven track record of leading experiential or practice‑based learning initiatives in legal education.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with legal professionals and industry partners.
• Highly developed leadership, collaboration and mentoring capabilities across disciplines.
