Production Technician – Live Event Production

About the role

We are seeking two full‑time Production Technicians to join our Sydney team at NW Group, one of Australasia’s leading live‑production companies. The role involves supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate and arts/entertainment events, ensuring high‑quality technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain video production equipment including projection systems, LED screens, media servers and camera rigs.
• Support lighting and audio production, troubleshooting issues on‑site and during rehearsals.
• Assist with virtual event platforms and live video streaming setups.
• Collaborate with the production crew to meet tight event deadlines and adapt to changing requirements.
• Maintain equipment inventory and ensure safety and compliance standards are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Production Technician.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and flexibility to work irregular hours typical of the events industry.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and team members.
• Attention to detail and reliability in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with projection systems, LED screens, media servers, camera systems and virtual event platforms.
• Experience operating lighting and audio production equipment.
