Production Operator – Mining Equipment

About the role

Rio Tinto is seeking experienced Production Operators to join its high‑performance mining operations in the Pilbara. You will safely operate large‑scale equipment to extract iron ore and prepare it for processing and shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate loaders, diggers and dozers on an 8/6/7/7 FIFO roster (8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off).
• Support safe, efficient extraction of iron ore at the Yandicoogina mine.

Required profile

• Full manual C‑class driver’s licence.
• Commitment to safety and an inclusive mindset.
• Experience in an open‑cut production environment operating large‑scale equipment.
• Permanent Australian residency (no visa sponsorship required).

Required skills

• Loaders/Diggers: EX 3600, EX5600, LT 1850/2350, CAT 994, WA1200.
• Dozers: D10, D11.
• Ability to up‑skill and mentor team members.
