Production Operator – Bakery (Forestville)

About the role

Goodman Fielder's Forestville site in South Australia is looking for qualified bakers and machine operators, called Process Operators, to work across its production and slicing areas. The roles ensure production targets and compliance processes are met, in a hands-on team environment where Health and Safety, Quality and teamwork matter. Full on-the-job training and development is offered for people who want a long-term career in baking.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment according to safe operating procedures.
• Carry out start-up procedures, machine and equipment set-ups, operational processes and cleaning processes correctly.
• Report and record all Food Safety and Quality incidents accurately within the specified time frames.
• Complete the Quality Assurance and Food Safety induction and competency assessment.
• Attend all relevant training programs.
• Aim to achieve AERR and waste targets.
• Take an active part in weekly and monthly departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Practice and display of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Health and Safety standards.
• Quality awareness.
• Previous food industry experience or machine operation/process work is desirable.
