Hygiene Team Member (Cleaner) - Forestville

About the role

Goodman Fielder is looking for a Hygiene Team Member (Cleaner) to join its Manufacturing team at the Forestville site. The role contributes to a high-performing production team and team culture, and both part-time and full-time opportunities are available.

Key responsibilities

• Report all accidents and incidents, and report unsafe work areas and practices.
• Participate in programs that ensure a safe and healthier workplace, such as legislative training (LOTO, manual handling, noise awareness, chemical usage and handling).
• Complete all cleaning and hygiene activities according to the site Master Cleaning and Sanitation schedule, keeping timely and accurate records.
• Ensure cleaning complies with food safety and quality procedures, including loose item controls, foreign material controls and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and tools (floor scrubbers, high pressure cleaners, foamers, foggers) and report deficiencies to Maintenance.
• Take part in mandatory training on site food safety, quality, cleaning, hygiene and chemical handling.
• Comply with Quality, GMP, BRC, customer specifications (e.g. Coles, Woolworths), hygiene and food safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with developing Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning and hygiene, and report equipment failures that could cause physical contamination or downtime.

Required profile

• Ability to troubleshoot problems and make decisions in all types of situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Works well in a team and is self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Confined space, working at heights, processing and running plant experience is advantageous.
