Production Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Production Manager will lead daily manufacturing activities for SYNERGY IN TURF’s artificial‑turf plant in the Greater Sydney Area. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for planning production schedules, managing workflow, and coordinating resources to meet quality and output targets while fostering a safe, continuous‑improvement culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely maintenance.
• Lead, coach, and train production teams, organising staffing levels and shift patterns.
• Enforce quality standards and workplace health & safety compliance.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, sales and senior leadership to optimise costs and on‑time delivery.
• Track production metrics using ERP systems and generate performance reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production or manufacturing management, preferably in textiles, plastics or related industries.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of developing diverse teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Solid understanding of production planning, workflow optimisation and lean or continuous‑improvement principles.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, manufacturing, operations management or a related discipline are highly regarded.
• Interest or experience in turf, landscaping or sports‑surface products is an advantage.

• Experience with production planning software and workflow optimisation techniques.
