Production Grader Operators - FIFO Pilbara

About the role

Karlayura Personnel is recruiting experienced Production Grader Operators for FIFO opportunities at FMG mine sites in the Pilbara, Western Australia. The employer wants skilled operators with proven open-pit production mining experience who are confident operating large CAT graders in busy mining environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CAT 16M, 18M and 24M graders in open-pit production environments
• Carry out haul road maintenance, grading and road repairs
• Maintain pit floors, ramps, dumps and stockpile areas
• Complete road shaping, levelling and surface preparation
• Work safely around large production dump trucks, excavators and other heavy mobile equipment
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and report equipment defects
• Follow all site safety procedures and operational requirements

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in open-pit production mining; candidates with at least 12 months' relevant experience may be considered
• Proven operating experience on CAT 16M, 18M or 24M graders
• Previous haul road maintenance and production mining experience
• Current C-Class driver's licence
• Current National Police Clearance (mandatory)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment care
• Previous FMG, Rio Tinto, BHP or other major production mining experience highly regarded
• Relevant production mining grader experience is required; civil construction experience alone does not meet the requirements

What we offer

• Pay rate of $70 per hour
• 2:1 and 2:2 FIFO rosters
• One week of day shifts followed by one week of night shifts
