Product Designer

About the role

Join Kmart’s digital team to shape products and experiences used by millions of customers. You will tackle meaningful customer and business problems, applying design thinking, research, data and experimentation to create intuitive, impactful solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support product strategy by translating customer needs, business objectives and insights into thoughtful design solutions.
• Own design from discovery through delivery, measurement and iteration, collaborating with product, engineering, analytics, trade, marketing, SEO and other stakeholders.
• Balance customer needs, business goals and technical feasibility to create practical, scalable designs.
• Conduct user research, usability testing and apply findings to product decisions.
• Produce user flows, wireframes, high‑fidelity designs and interactive prototypes using modern design tools.
• Contribute to and apply the Kmart Group design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility and scalability.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and shipping digital products that solve real customer problems.
• Strong product thinking with ability to balance user, business and technical constraints.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to build strong relationships with cross‑functional teams.
• Adaptability to ambiguity and fast‑changing priorities.
• Curiosity, growth mindset and eagerness to learn and improve.

Required skills

• Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma.
• Experience creating user flows, wireframes, high‑fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
• Understanding of component‑based design systems and their role in scaling experiences.
• Solid grasp of user‑centred design principles and conducting customer research.
