Product Architect - Financials

About the role

TechnologyOne is looking for an experienced Product Architect to help shape the future of its TechnologyOne Financials product, the largest adopted product in its portfolio. This is a strategic role combining deep product thinking with strong technical expertise, working closely with Product Owners, Developers, Designers and stakeholders to define product direction and ensure the Financials suite remains modern, scalable and intuitive. Experience with TechnologyOne Financials or enterprise financial management software is highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Define the product architecture and technical direction for TechnologyOne Financials, aligned with long-term product strategy
• Translate customer needs, market insights and business priorities into scalable product designs and solution architecture
• Champion AI-assisted development, using Claude as the tool of choice
• Partner with Product Owners, Engineering and UX teams to design, validate and deliver product capabilities
• Provide architectural leadership so solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with TechnologyOne standards
• Influence roadmaps to improve usability, performance, automation and customer value
• Mentor a small team of developers and contribute to technical decisions and knowledge sharing across R&D
• Ensure solutions support accounting best practice, financial governance and evolving regulatory requirements
• Champion design consistency, architectural quality and continuous improvement, and comply with company policies and health and safety requirements

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Software Architect or Senior Engineer in enterprise SaaS or similar
• Understanding of financial management systems such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Procurement or Asset Accounting
• Experience designing and delivering scalable enterprise software products
• Ability to turn complex business requirements into practical, customer-focused solutions
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style
