Procurement Specialist – Carters

About the role

Join Boral’s Procurement Team to support category strategy for the national carter portfolio, covering Lorry Owned Drivers (LODs) and Multi Fleet Operators (MFOs). Reporting to the Category Lead Carters, you will enhance supplier management, commercial governance and network efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Own commercial and governance support for new carter contracts, renewals, compliant rate cards and pricing models.
• Maintain supplier segmentation and develop relationship management plans across business segments, asset classes and supplier types.
• Monitor transport cost drivers, market conditions, industry trends and labour availability to identify rationalisation and efficiency opportunities.
• Lead or support RFQs, tender negotiations, rate reviews, market benchmarking and improvement initiatives.
• Assist with delivery of national and regional spend and supplier management strategies and manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for programs/projects.
• Prepare spend insights, KPI/SLA scorecards and performance reporting, guiding stakeholders on procurement compliance and controls.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification with strong understanding of procurement, contract management and supplier performance.
• Relevant experience in a large, multi‑site organisation, preferably in transport, logistics or supply chain.
• Clear, professional communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder communication and analytical capability across supplier cost data.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Tableau or similar platforms.
