Procurement Officer – Regional Public Services

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Officer to support a well‑established regional organisation delivering essential services and infrastructure projects. You will ensure the timely supply of goods and services while upholding policy, probity and value‑for‑money principles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities in line with policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Coordinate inventory and stock management processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, procurement partners and internal stakeholders.
• Support tendering, RFQ and EOI processes, including documentation and evaluation.
• Provide procurement guidance and training to staff across the organisation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk and achieve cost efficiencies.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support operational delivery.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Procurement or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, stores or supply‑chain environments.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, probity and contract management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current Class C driver licence.

Required skills

• Tendering and contract administration experience.
• Budget management exposure.
• Knowledge of inventory control and asset disposal processes.
