Procurement Officer – Inventory & Purchasing

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support the Procurement and Planning Manager in maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods for Mapei’s new manufacturing plant in Truganina. This role ensures accurate data flow within the D365 ERP system and related spreadsheets, helping the business meet demand while protecting working capital.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring inventory levels, analysing stock, sales history and forecasts to guide purchasing decisions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier information and inventory records in the D365 ERP environment.
• Support the planning, sourcing and procurement of materials required to meet changing product demand.
• Coordinate with Mapei subsidiaries, export departments and external partners to ensure delivery, cost and quality targets are met.
• Enter procurement transactions accurately in the ERP system and share documentation with Finance.
• Apply corporate procurement procedures and guidelines on a daily basis.
• Help the supply‑chain team conduct quarterly stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, purchasing or inventory management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to work with large data sets.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with internal teams and external suppliers.
