Process Technician - 8:6 FIFO Gold Mine

About the role

Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia, which is expanding underground. As the operation grows, the Processing team has openings. Reporting to the Process Supervisor and working an 8:6 / 7:7 roster, the Process Technician safely operates and optimises key areas of the processing plant, including Crushing, Milling, Leaching (CIL), Control Room and Elution, to maximise plant performance and gold recovery. The role works closely with Maintenance and Laboratory teams.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor Crushing, Milling and Elution circuits
• Conduct operational inspections and report plant issues and process variances
• Work with Maintenance to support plant reliability and planned maintenance
• Complete operational reporting and effective shift handovers
• Follow daily instructions from the Process Supervisor
• Maintain housekeeping standards across designated plant areas
• Carry out all work safely in line with site procedures and systems

Required profile

• Experience in a similar processing role; experience in Elution and the Control Room is highly regarded
• Current LF High Risk Licence
• Current WA C Class Driver's Licence
• Experience in gold processing plant operations
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
