Principal/Engagement Manager – Private Capital (Sydney)

About the role

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Principal/Engagement Manager/Associate to join its Private Capital team in Sydney. You will work on investment cases, advise investors and portfolio companies, and help shape strategy for high‑impact transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop insights into commercial assumptions underpinning client investment cases.
• Analyse target companies’ markets, performance, business plans and value‑creation opportunities.
• Interact with investors and management teams to offer advice, shape and drive strategy.
• Develop and foster talent within the Private Capital team.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, banking or private capital, covering both CDD and value creation.
• Self‑starter, independent thinker who works well within a team.
• Clear communicator with respectful interaction style.
• Commitment to balanced work‑life priorities and ability to prioritize effectively.
