Principal Management Accountant

About the role

Provide high‑level financial expertise to CQ Health leadership, executives, clinicians and key stakeholders. Drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost management and performance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Turn financial and clinical data into insights using Activity Based Funding, costing, benchmarking and activity analysis.
• Influence strategic decisions on resource allocation, service agreements, contracts, revenue, efficiency and long‑term financial planning.
• Strengthen governance and compliance by advising on financial standards, risk management, resource utilisation and organisational performance.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial management with relevant qualifications.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, high workload and tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Experience using financial databases, reporting tools and financial systems to analyse information and provide insights.

• Total remuneration up to $176,711 per annum, hourly rate $72.78‑$78.11.
