About the role
The Principal Improvement and Project Officer leads high‑impact projects that transform how regulatory services are delivered across the Queensland building and construction sector. Working within the newly created Transformation and Change Division, you will turn data‑driven insight into strategic action, partnering with experts across QBCC.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deliver and evaluate end‑to‑end improvement initiatives that reshape regulatory outcomes.
- Apply strong governance frameworks while leveraging research and data analysis.
- Collaborate with the Project Delivery, Transformation Management Office and Business Analytics branches.
- Produce high‑quality written outputs, briefings and reports for senior decision‑makers.
- Engage stakeholders across the organisation to build trusted relationships and drive change.
Required profile
- Commercially astute professional with the ability to work independently and think critically.
- Proven experience interpreting legislation and translating insight into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce concise briefings.
- Strong stakeholder‑engagement capability and credibility.
